Blog Posting #5 "The Necklace"

In the story, "The Necklace", we learned that Madam Loisel lost the diamond necklace that she borrowed from her wealthy friend.

1. What problems did losing the necklace cause Madam Loisel and her husband?

2. Do you believe that she should have told her friend the truth from the beginning? Why or why not?

3. Name a situation where you wished you had told the truth but didn't.

1. When she lost the necklace she had to buy another one and it coast her way to much money.
2.She should have told her in the begging this would have never happened if she would have to her.
3.When i got in trouble i blamed it on my little brother and he got grounded.

1.It cused the family to go from a middle class family to a bum family.
2.Yes i do because it would have made things a lot eisier on every one.

1. alot because they had to ask people for money and work and pay it off for ten years and buy a new one

2. yes she should have told her friend from the beginning because she might not have had to buy a new one and work ten years to pay it off

3. i wish i told the truth to my mom when she asked if i had homework i would say no and lie to her just so i can play video games but you shouldn't lie that's a bad thing to do

1 It cause them like ten years of hard work to pay it of and from being a middle class to being homeless.:(

2 yes she should of told the truth to her friend because her friend would of told her it was fake. :(

3 when i was 7 i broke a window and the guy told me it was no big deal cause he was going to break it anyway cause he was going to put a new window up cause his had a little crack in it so he told me you just need to pick up the glass.

1.It cause them a lot of problems like borrowing money from people. To buy a new diamond necklace. It took them ten years to pay back all of the money they have borrowed.

2.yes because you should all ways tell your friends the truth. If madam loisel told her the truth they would of only spent 500 franks.

3. I should of told my mom the truth. When i told her that i was going to a friends house but really went to a party and she found out the next day.

3.When i broke a window the guy told me it want a big deal he told me help me pick up the glass and it is all good.:)

1)There were problems like she had to find it at the party and make pictures of rewards for the missing necklace.
2)She would lie and if she lies then she has time to search for the necklace and hopefully she would find it.
3)I have done nothing like this but at all.

1. to lose all of the money they had and it took 10 years to pay it off.

2. yes because then mayb she would of had more money if she didnt have to pay for it.

3. just a couple weeks ago where i didnt do what i was told and lied about it.
